If you wondered how critical security is to hardware, look no further than last week’s blockbuster acquisitions. Intel acquired McAfee for $7.68 billion just days after HP acquired Fortify Software for an undisclosed amount. Earlier this year, Symantec acquired PGP and IBM acquired BigFix.
Intel’s headline-making McAfee acquisition enables a combination of security software and hardware from one company to ultimately better protect consumers, corporations and governments as billions of devices — and the server and cloud networks that manage them — go online.

This acquisition will certainly be interesting and useful for a lot of customers regarding security issues. If security measures are directly implemented in Intel products, I would not fear to be attacked as I do for the moment. Thank you ServerPronto for using Intel products.

I am and have been a Serverpronto customer for the past 2 years, I love the managed firewall solution. I personally am not extremely familiar with configuring firewalls but with Serverpronto al I need to know is what ports and services my applications use and then request the change, it’s that simple! Just last week on of the technicians logged into my server and configured the local software firewall for me as well, of course after I spent hours triying to get it to work. Superb support!
